The American Institute of Indian Studies is a 64-year-old consortium of over 90 American Universities and Colleges.  AIIS programs promote and advance mutual understanding between the citizens of India and the United States of  America. Recognized as an institution of Higher education by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the AIIS has a Memorandum of Understanding with 38 Indian Universities so that programs of the AIIS are collaborative and mutually beneficial.  The AIIS contributes to the Internationalisation of the New Education Policy, 2020, through its programs.
